Directions
We start with the bottom of the bag which is worked all around the stitches of the chain. You can adjust the number of the chain depending how big you want your bag.
For this bag, i made 20 ch (18cm)Then I worked around the chain as follows:
Round 1:
3 ch (=first dc of the round), 1 dc in the 4th ch(from the hook, the 3 ch i’ve just made + 1 ch), 18 dc in the 18 following ch, 4 dc in the following st , we continue in the opposite side of the chain with 18 dc in the following 18 st, 2 dc in the following st (=inc), 1 slp st in the third ch of the round to close it.
We have 44 stitches
Round 2:
3 ch (=first dc of the round), 1dc in the same st (=1 inc), 1 inc, 18 dc, (1 inc) * 4, 18 dc, ( 1inc)*2, 1 slp st in the third ch of the round to close it.
We have 52 stitches
Round 3:
3 ch (=first dc of the round), 1dc in the same st (=1 inc), (1 inc)*3, 18 dc, (1 inc)*8, 18 dc, (1 inc*4, 1 slp st in the third ch of the round to close it .We have 68 stitches.
The bottom is finished. If you want to make a bigger bag, you can continue the bottom with always the same principle: I increase at both ends (beginning and end) of my chain and always have my 18 central stitches on both sides of the chain.

Round 4:
3ch, 67 dc through back of loops, 1 slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 5:
3ch, 67 dc, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 6:
3ch, *1 frpdc in the dc of the previous round, 1dc in the following st* Repeat until the end of the round, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 7:
3ch, 67 dc, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 8:
3ch, 67 dc, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 9:
3ch, *1 frpdc in the dc of the previous round, 1dc in the following st* Repeat until the end of the round, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 10 et 11:
3ch, 67 dc, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 12:
3ch, *1 frpdc in the dc of the previous round, 1dc in the following st* Repeat until the end of the round, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 13 et 14:
3ch, 67 dc, 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
At round 14, the bag is 16cm height and 27 cm wide. If le sac mesure 16cm de hauteur et 27 cm de largeur. if you wanted bigger bag, just repeat rounds 12 to 14 as many times as you want.
Handles
Round 15:
1ch, 9 sc, 14 ch, skip 14 st, 20 sc, 14 ch, skip 14 st, 10 sc, 1 slp st in the first ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Round 16:
3ch, 9 dc, skip the first ch of the handle, 13 dc in this first handled, skip 1 sc, 19 dc, skip 1 ch in the second handle, 13 dc , skip 1 sc , 9 dc and 1slp st in the third ch of the round to close it. (68 st)
Cut the thread, the bag is finished.
